Shuran Wright joined the CHRIMS family in May 2007, on Kentucky Derby week no less, and is currently our Chief Operating Officer. From the beginning of her career she has focused on learning the inner workings of CHRIMS proprietary software and services, and has worked tirelessly to provide support and enhancements for all of them; including an integral role in the creation of the current CHRIMS Enterprise "Paddock" system. As a result of her expansive knowledge base, Shuran is a subject matter expert for the majority of CHRIMS products. She serves as the primary point of contact for many of our valued clients, having on-boarded over half of our current customer base over the past ten years. Her ability to troubleshoot and solve problems are essential in managing day-to-day operations. She also maintains an active role in marketing and new product development. Anyone who wears that many hats has to be a proficient multitasker. Shuran excels at this, maintaining a balance between supporting the company’s day-to-day operations, while also keeping an eye towards the horizon and managing departmental priorities and long-term company goals. Shuran has been a longstanding attendee and participant of many industry conferences and committees. This includes participating in panels at the TRA Simulcast Conference, speaking at the Global Symposium on Racing, and several years as a member of the TRA2020 Committee. Prior to joining the CHRIMS team, Shuran worked at a California OTB while attending San Joaquin Delta College. Outside of the office, Shuran likes to spend her downtime with her boyfriend Ryan, and two-year-old Corgi mix Lola. She also enjoys many hobbies and interests from traveling, cooking (and eating), collecting vintage Pyrex, crocheting, practicing her calligraphy, paper crafts, water color painting, and continuing to work on her struggling (but improving) golf game.
