Ryan Sersen joined CHRIMS in June 2016, after spending the previous 10 years at AmTote International, a leading North American totalizator company. During his time with AmTote, Ryan gained first-hand experience working with gaming operators around the globe, ranging from Australia, Azerbaijan, the Isle of Man, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and throughout the United States. As a technical sales specialist, he provided customer and technical support for a multitude of racetracks, internet wagering providers, and regulatory agencies domestic and abroad. His technical expertise in the gaming industry runs the gamut, spanning from pari-mutuel to fixed odds wagering, and includes an intimate knowledge of ADW (Advance Deposit Wagering), CAW (Computer Assisted Wagering), and foreign wagering markets. The industry relationships that he has built over the past twelve years have also been a great asset to CHRIMS, and he represents the company as a member of the TRA2020 committee, in addition to attending various industry conferences. As a member of the CHRIMS team, Ryan helps manage a wide array of technical projects, both internal and external. He is our primary liaison to the tote companies and ADWs that provide most of our daily data, and supports our data department when questions and issues arise. He continues to work for AmTote on a consultant basis, providing technical support for their ADW (Advance Deposit Wagering) and CAW (Computer Assisted Wagering) customers. Ryan grew up in York, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the York County School of Technology with a vocational focus in computer networking. He studied computer science at York Technical Institute, and later at University of Maryland University College.
